Lake of the Cherokee Village Community

Lake Thunderbird is the largest lake of the Cherokee Village Community set in the stunning Ozarks Region. It is the perfect location for a family, located in the Highland School District.

Residents are close to all of the everyday conveniences, including marinas, restaurants, hotels, Walmart, or the Sharp County Regional Airport. With so many local amenities, you may never leave town, but if so, the cities of Little Rock or Memphis, Tennessee, are flourishing locations less than two hours away.

264 Acres of Sparkling Waters

Lake Thunderbird is the jewel of the Cherokee Village Community, covering a total of 264 acres. It has 7.2 miles of shoreline and can be as deep as 75 feet. There are six other community lakes with Aztec Lake being the smallest at 19 acres.

Lake All Day

The waters of Lake Thunderbird welcomes boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and more for all its residents to enjoy. Catfish, largemouth bass, crappie, and big-bluegill make up this lake’s healthy stock of fish that keep anglers busy all day long.

Lake Thunderbird Marina accommodates all boaters and offers boat slips or rentals. Activities galore await within the community between the two 18-hole golf courses, six swimming pools, private beach, tennis courts, fitness center, senior center, three nature trails, horseshoe pits, and more.

Golf 18-challenging holes along the South Fork Spring River at the Cherokee Village North Course. Also close to the Spring River, you can enjoy the inviting waters for tubing, rafting, kayaking, or canoeing.
