Old Lake Davenport is located in Central Florida in Polk County. It is 30 miles from Orlando and just minutes from Disney World.

Lake Davenport is located in an area called Four Corners due to its location at the juncture of Lake, Orange, Polk and Osceola Counties. The Lake is an easy commute to and from Orlando with its location near the junction of U.S. 27 and U.S. 192.

Davenport was named after Colonel William Davenport, who served as the local U.S. Commander in the Second Seminole War in 1835.

Covers More Than 150 Acres

The Lake is known for its beautiful landscape and covers 178 acres. Old Lake Davenport reaches maximum depths of 16 feet with the majority of the eastern lakefront being wooded wetland and undeveloped.

The lake is known to be a popular fishing lake, although there is no public access.

Popular activities on Old Lake Davenport include boating, fishing and camping. Paddleboats can be rented along the lakefront and are provided for the convenience of residents.

Old Lake Davenport has two major golf courses near the it. These are Ridgewood Lakes Golf & Country Club and the Highlands Reserve Golf Club.

Old Lake Davenport is a fishing hotspot and is especially well-known for spotted bass, largemouth bass and walleye. Other commonly caught fish include channel catfish and white bass.
